The Clinical Biochemistry Research Post Graduation Scholarship (UWA Scholarships) is a program that the University of Western Australia is pleased to provide. International students enrolled in UWA’s Master of Biotechnology or Master of Clinical Pathology programs are eligible for this award. A single eligible student will receive the $4,000 prize each year.
In order to encourage and support top achievers enrolling in a Master of Biotechnology or Master of Clinical Pathology to carry out a research project in the field of clinical biochemistry, Ms. Merle Smith donated a fund to The University of Western Australia (the University).
The scholarship will give the chosen applicant financial support to conduct a research project at a recognized professional research institute.

To be eligible to apply for the UWA scholarship, an applicant must:
(i) full-time enrollment;
(ii) in research project units intending to undertake a research project focusing on physiological or disease pathways that utilize a biochemical test using a biofluid or tissues from a human or animal model to study physiological or disease pathways.
(iii) in the Master of Clinical Pathology (92510) by coursework and dissertation specializing in Clinical Biochemistry; or
(iv) in the Master of Biotechnology (71580)
